A winter’s weaving of creativity, community, and renewal.
Are you a local artist, maker, or creative spirit, perhaps someone in midlife or beyond, who feels the spark to create, connect, and collaborate more deeply? A new community of local creatives is forming, and you’re invited to be part of it.
We are a small but growing group of artists from all mediums — visual arts, movement, music, writing, puppetry, and beyond — coming together to nurture our creative practices while supporting one another through shared inspiration.
This winter, we will meet monthly to share ideas, explore themes, and inspire each other’s individual practices. Between gatherings, each of us will take that spark home — to dance, paint, write, build, or compose — and return with something new to share and expand upon. Over time, we will refine and adjust our ideas, allowing them to interweave and evolve into a larger collaborative work that reflects the shared vision of the group. Each person is encouraged to contribute in ways that align with their own comfort, interests, and creative rhythm, ensuring the collaboration remains both personal and collective.
Our next gathering will be Sunday, December 7th, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Rise Up! The main meeting time is 11:00–12:30, with a half-hour of gentle arrival and departure to ease in and out. We envision this as a seasonal journey, weaving our talents together through the darker months and watching our collective creation bloom in Spring 2026 into something we can share with the wider community, perhaps an interactive show, living installation, or something entirely new.
Even if you’d like to attend a meeting just to see if it’s your thing, please feel free to join — you’re warmly welcome to come, listen, and get a feel for the group. Come share your talents, your yearnings, and your imagination, and help us build something beautiful together. Interested?
